The IPO CHALLENGE promotes the integration of knowledge

The School of Engineering in Production and Operations and the Faculty of Science and Technology held an internal contest with the aim of solving industrial and business problems of institutions in the area.

The challenge - which was called "IPO CHALLENGE" and took place in the Auditorium of the Faculty of Science and Technology was created with the aim of encouraging students to study, self-educate and integrate their knowledge.

Each group presented their projects and was supported with complementary images and triptychs. The teams were formed by groups of maximum six students.

One of the fundamental bases of the contest was to have a member who is in the tenth cycle to act as a leader, and the rest of the group is in sixth cycle or belongs to higher levels of the Engineering in Production and Operations .

The first group had worked with AGNI METALES and the solutions that provided the problem was the elimination of waste, the use of a control table, making arrangements in the cellar area, etc., by using tools called: 5'S, KANBAN, and ANDON.

The second group, finally the winner of the contest, worked with MOTO DELIVERY and proposed the solution to improve distance and traffic times so that deliveries do not arrive late, through an efficient sectorization and a Google Maps tool.

Finally, the third group proposed as solutions to the company TRENDS the redistribution of work areas, improvement in production methods, control and transportation, improvement in the utilization of waste and the implementation of security measures.
