The priceless legacy of parents: a guiding light and a love that endures

In the context of Father's Day, it is important to recognize the role that fathers play in the lives of their children, they are like a beacon that guides in the midst of darkness, fathers light the way and provide security in times of storm. It is not only an arm of emotional and affective support, but it also becomes a fundamental pillar in the formation of your child's identity and values. 

The relationship between a father and his son is established with a solid connection from an early age. As time passes, this relationship is strengthened through aspects such as mutual trust and open communication, creating a safe environment for the minor. Even when the children come of age, the support and influence of the father continues to be vital and irreplaceable. 

Two outstanding examples of the positive paternal influence in the lives of their children are Israel Ortega and Francisco Flores, two students at the University of Azuay, both of whom tell us about the importance of their parents as support in their lives. 

I have been lucky to have exceptional parents. Since I was a child, my father has been a very loving and communicative person. As he finished school and entered another university, I realized that he did not feel comfortable with me, as if he was not my thing. It was at that moment that I decided to share my feelings and thoughts with him, we sat in the dining room of our house, and for several days, my father helped me clarify my goals and objectives. He always encouraged me to pursue my dreams and ambitions, when I finally made the decision to enter the UDA, he was the first to show me his unconditional support, and today, he continues to do so- commented Ortega.

Another moving story is that of Francisco Flores, who is about to graduate and shares with us the incredible story of support he received from his father during times of doubt and obstacles.

-When I started my career, everything was very confusing and I was very nervous, because I was not convinced that I had chosen my career correctly. I talked to friends and it helped, but the person who really helped me strengthen my decision was my father. He helped me understand the positive and negative aspects, highlighting my strengths, and thanks to that I can say with certainty that I have made the right decision with my career. On the other hand, various challenges arose along the way and he got involved in an exceptional way, either helping me with certain tasks, to the extent that a father can help, or being aware of my work. He has even reached the point of modifying his hours or has changed his own work hours, among other things. These are activities that normally a father would not have to intervene, but mine has always been by my side, since I can remember until now, when I am about to graduate," said Flores. 

In summary, the stories of Ortega and Flores show the significant impact on the development of a child and his career as a university student, because the father figure is shown as a role model, emotional support among other crucial points for the success and well-being of the minors.
