"The Bishop's Cap," a collection of paintings by Pablo Cardoso

On March 12, the University of Azuay and its publishing house unveiled the painting "The Bishop's Cap" by artist Pablo Cardoso; an event in harmony with the Sustainable Development Goals.
The event was attended by authorities, faculty and administrative staff from our university community, friends and family of the artist, and the general public.
The welcoming remarks were delivered by Francisco Salgado, rector of the University of Azuay, who noted that this event is of great value and significance, as the presented collection of paintings is a masterpiece of Ecuadorian art.
For his part, Cristóbal Zapata, editor of the publication, addressed the audience, mentioning that the work presented connects with the city's sky and integrates into its green and terracotta landscape through the UDA Café's hanging inverted pier.
For his part, Pablo Cardoso, the artist behind the work, emphasized that this ensemble characterizes Latin American architecture, a project he has carried out for more than 40 years and that brought together important artists from the continent with the aim of rethinking the future of American independence.
Once the interventions were completed, the work was unveiled by our authorities and the artist.
