TWO ENVIRONMENTAL RECOGNITIONS FOR THE BICENTENNIAL CAMPUS

This month the Ministry of the Environment, Water and Ecological Transition and the Banco del Pichincha have recognized our Bicentennial Campus, for being built with sustainable and environmentally friendly principles. 


For its part, the Ministry of the Environment, Water and Ecological Transition, in its institutional framework of environmental incentives that aim to promote the use of environmental goods and services in a sustainable way, has the Ecuadorean Environmental Recognition Green Point to Eco - Structures , the same that promotes the construction of buildings, infrastructures, homes, buildings and other works in accordance with the principles of sustainability and environmental care.  


On December 13, the Undersecretary of Environmental Quality notified the University of Azuay that the Bicentennial Campus obtained 75 out of 100 points, which made it worthy of the Ecuadorean Environmental Recognition Green Point to Eco-Structures.
In the same way, Banco del Pichincha annually recognizes projects that add value to the environment. This year, in the third edition of the contest; the "Campus Bicentenario" project participated and received a BIO Sustainable Construction Recognition mention.
