Product Design shows your passion for new technologies

On June 22, the talk "The Objects That Surround You ... a Vision Of What We Do" took place, organized by the School of Product Design within the framework of the talks on Creative Experiences of the careers of the Faculty of Design, Architecture and Art.

José Luis Fajardo, professor of Product Design, indicated that the videoconference revolved around 3D printing and CAD (computer-aided design) and CAM (computer-aided manufacturing) processes.

The invited speakers were Jonathan Banegas, Javier Arizaga and Marcelo Cuesta.

For Fajardo, this type of talks is important because it allows to demonstrate the potential of product design, a career that provides students with a comprehensive training and thus undertake projects that cross from the artisanal to the industrial.

"In the case of the talk, it is key to show how, through the use of new technologies, important projects that are recognized nationally and internationally can be undertaken," concluded the teacher.
