World Theater Day was held on tables "in minutes 10"

For the World Theater Day, students, alumni and professors of the Faculty of Design, Architecture and Art showed their talent and skills in music, dance and theater in the event "10 Minutes on Tables".

The event was held on March 28 in the Auditorium General of the University of Azuay and was attended by managers, teachers and students.

The group Matizo - accompanied by Michelle Astudillo - played alternative Ecuadorian rock. On the other hand, Juana Maldonado and Pamela Moyano sang the song La Llorona to the beat of a guitar.

In other disciplines, Camila Íñiguez delighted the audience with her aerial dance act. Rise in a fabric more than three meters from the ground, she moved to create different forms with her body.

For her part, the dancer Mango taught two works: in the first one a string was tied with a stick and while dancing in the dark, the stick seemed to float. "The other act is called Illusory Mirror that is of a bride planted on the altar. "It's a story about a man who is sad because they left him at the altar, but at the end, he looks in the mirror, he looks pretty and falls in love," Mango said.

In theater, the group The Three Graces - integrated by María Elvira Villacís, Grace Castro and Belén Campoverde - unveiled a story through dance and facial expressions; David Matute interpreted the monologue Tercera Carta Conyugal, under the direction of Liz Guazhambo; and Thalía Tigre played two characters: a grandmother and her granddaughter, in her monologue Un Minuto Mas.

"I made a daily situation that can happen to anyone. I was inspired by the death of my grandpa. That's where the idea came from, I wrote everything, dramaturgy. I directed myself, I did everything by myself to him. The part that most reaches me is when (the granddaughter) finds out that her grandmother is no longer there, "explained Tigre.

In addition, several soloists took the stage as: Guido Argüello with his song El Rezo Diario; Gabriela Méndez with Bring Him Home; Arianna Saquisilí with Cuando Los Sapos Bailen Flamenco and Nando Romero with Aun.

"All the acts I liked, however, what I liked the most was the song" La Llorona "," said María José Requelme, eighth cycle Theatrical Art student, and concluded: "Something that needs to be rescued is that Most of the people who showed up were from the first level courses, they risk it super soon, they're brave. "
