Challenge yourself UDA: a course for youth participation

The voices of those who will lead our country in the future are not always heard today. This is why, from the Faculty of Administration Sciences of the UDA, the first approach was offered on Thursday, December 9, to the contest called "Challenge yourself UDA".

This call has been designed exclusively for students from all schools in the city, studying their last two years of high school, in order to link their ideas and solutions within real contemporary problems at the local level.

Within this first approach, key points were touched such as the follow-up and the tutorials that will exist by the teachers of the Faculty of Administration to the participants, in order to ensure a process of academic quality when presenting their work.

On the other hand, among the organizations selected to provide the problems and choose the winners, will be the Government of Azuay, the Public Mobility and Transportation Company (EMOV) and CB cooperative, which will address the issues of citizen security, mobility and investment and young saving respectively.

Participants must record a video commenting on their possible solutions to the problems already mentioned above. Subsequently, there will be a selection process by a court made up of teachers, student representatives and the entity to which they are presenting their proposal.

The winners will be awarded a 30% scholarship for any career in the Faculty of Management Sciences for two continuous semesters.

María José González, director of Desafíate UDA, affirms that: “We have realized that many of the solutions that our young people propose are excellent”.

"Unfortunately we live in an environment where the opinions of these are minimized and rejected instantly, that is why we have not motivated to manage a space to raise these voices and demonstrate the potential they have," concluded the teacher.
