Pastoral Department inaugurates the "Eucharist Weekly"
The March 28 was held the first "Eucharist Weekly" in the Multiple Use Room of the University of Azuay. This space, organized by the Department of Pastoral, is part of the project of Social and Spiritual Action "PAS" and aims to strengthen the bonds of friendship and camaraderie among the entire university community.
Margarita Bonilla, missionary and member of the University Pastoral, mentions that: "These moments of sharing unite our community. An atmosphere of faith and fraternity, help to create a bond and feel more in family ".
The Eucharist is addressed to the teachers of the institution, as well as to the administrative staff and the students; and will be held continuously, on Thursdays at 7h00 in this room.
María Fernanda Jácome, missionary of the Fraternity Verbum Dei and member of the University Pastoral, points out that with this space "it is intended to generate a time to be able to feed spiritually and face all the circumstances that come throughout the day, from a spiritual force, which is God's, and he gives it to us through the Eucharist. "
Throughout the preaching, Father Rommel Soto reiterated the importance of hearing the word of God and called the assistants of the ceremony to accept God's invitation to change and be better human beings.
"Let us remember that He is the force and gives us the grace. Let us unite ourselves to this project of love that He has for us, "he said to conclude with the Eucharist.
This space was attended by the members of the Department of Pastoral, teachers of the University of Azuay and the rector of the Educational Unit "The Assumption", Eliana Bojorque.
The musical accompaniment of the ceremony was in charge of Estefanía Ortiz, singer and student of the Superior Conservatory "José María Rodríguez" and on the piano, Pablo Velasco, teacher of the same institution.
The Pastoral Department extends the invitation to the entire university community to follow them on the UDA website and learn more about the various volunteer programs, spiritual accompaniment and other projects they are carrying out.
And in the same way, they invite both students and teachers and administrative staff to join the Eucharist that will be held every Thursday.
