From dream to dream, a collection by Sara Vanégas illustrated by Edgar Reyes

On October 3, the University of Azuay and its Publishing House presented the book collection “From dream to dream” by author Sara Vanegas Coveña with illustrations by Edgar Reyes; an event in harmony with the principle of care that inspires our university and the Sustainable Development Goals.
The event was attended by authorities, teachers, administrative staff and students from our university community, authorities and students from different educational institutions in the city and the general public.
The From dream to dream, It is made up of eight volumes of Sara Vanégas' literary work; these books will mark the horizon of dreams and realities, showing young audiences the paths to follow so that they can enjoy these brief and intense texts.
The official launch of this work was carried out by the author, who expressed her gratitude and joy for the collection presented, which was called “magic box” a volume containing literature and poetry, presented in a dynamic and attractive way so that young people can appreciate art in a close way.
In turn, Edgar Reyes, illustrator of these eight volumes, addressed the public, commenting on his creative process and emphasizing the importance of promoting literature, painting and art in general in a creative way in schools and universities.
For his part, our rector Francisco Salgado, mentioned the importance of recognizing the trajectory of our Publishing House, celebrating its 20 years of work. He pointed out that there is no more important invention than writing, through which one can live, dream, experience and make the imagination reach millions of minds in a dialogue between the author and his readers.
Once the speeches were over, an agreement was presented to Sara Vanégas for being one of the most prominent figures in the Ecuadorian literary scene and the Pluma de Plata award was presented, a recognized symbol of our institution.
Finally, attendees visited the exhibition of illustrations by Edgar Reyes and enjoyed the performance of the Dance Company of the University of Azuay.
