Course on spirituality and harmony with Father López

Course on spirituality and harmony with Father López

"Be good with ourselves to be good with everyone." With this phrase, the course "Living in harmony" began on November 9 through the Zoom digital platform directed by Father Marcelo López and UDA professor Xavier Muñoz.

Father Marcelo López is a priest of the Archdiocese of Cuenca, coordinator of the archdiocesan choir of the Immaculate, member of the council for the protection of rights and parish priest in different parishes such as Cristo del Consuelo, Hermano Miguel and Santa María del Vergel.

The goal is to work on our harmony and our spiritual part to improve our relationships with ourselves, our environment and with God.

On the first Tuesday there were 20 participants, among them students and alumni of the University of Azuay, teachers and administrative staff of our institution, teachers of the La Asunción school and also members of religious groups.

The course began with the presentation of each of the participants, which was followed by reflections and stories by Father Marcelo with the idea of reaching the minds and hearts of each of the participants.

Activities were also carried out such as a game that implied that the participant fill a backpack with the things they would like to take and leave on an island; In this way, each one was able to open his mind and heart and thus be able to express what is good for him and what is bad for his spirit.

The day ended with a reflection made by the father together with all the participants based on asking for the possibility of meeting oneself, meeting those with whom they have distanced themselves and, above all, meeting God.

One of the thoughts left by the talk was that "the human being is a being of encounters and the first encounter should be with oneself."

The course, which will last one month, will be held on Tuesdays and Fridays.
