Course on development with a rights approach

On Friday, November 6, the Continuing Education Department began the virtual course "Development with a rights approach", requested by the Autonomous Decentralized Municipal Government of the Canton Santiago, Méndez.

The initiative is aimed at a total of 30 participants, including members of the team of the Cantonal Council for the Protection of Rights of Santiago - CCPD, community leaders, the team of the Cantonal Board for the Protection of Rights and citizens identified by the CCPD.

The course will last 16 hours and is led by Professor Juanita Bersosa.

The general objective is to analyze the application of the National Decentralized System for the Comprehensive Protection of Girls, Boys and Adolescents (SNDPINA) and its articulation to the local development model within the framework of the guarantee of rights.

To fulfill this objective, topics such as the study of the territorial management model established in COOTAD, the National Decentralized System of Participatory Planning and its territorial application will be discussed, and finally the articulation of the territorial management model with SNDPINA will be analyzed.

The virtual modality has allowed us to reach an audience that, if not for the use of new technologies, would not be able to benefit from these training programs, indicated the Continuing Education Department.
