Conversation about Design and Philosophy

On June 15, the talk organized by the School of Interior Design took place on the importance of Philosophy for Design. It was chaired by Genoveva Malo and the speaker was Yariela Correa.

Correa is a Graphic Design graduate from UDA and resides in Spain. She works with the Jazz Society of Ecuador, in addition to being a design technician and an expert in design theory.

"Design was my passion and I knew that what would surround me had to be design or art," said the exhibitor.

Correa began working as a translator and designer at the Jazz Society of Ecuador, where she aroused her curiosity about philosophy, since she saw it as something strange and complex. These ideas were clarified through the development of his thesis, which led him to take a master's degree in Logic and Philosophy of Science.

"Everything needs design," added the exhibitor who said that every time she went to class they told her: "You are the one who comes from design."

She understood that Philosophy and Design question similar things, so it is understood how important it is to ask where design is going in the future.
