Agreement between the UDA and Brazilian universities

The University of Azuay and the International Cooperation Group of Brazilian Universities (GCBU) signed an agreement that brings our University closer to more than 85 higher education centers of the South American giant.

"The GCBU is probably one of the most important international academic cooperation organizations for mobility in the world, experts say that it is probably the most important instance on the planet," said professor Juan Morales.

The main objective of the agreement is to promote and strengthen cooperation, both scientific and cultural, through research, teaching and university management.

The modalities of cooperation include organizing courses, conferences and seminars; exchange information, documentation and scientific publications; travel of teachers, researchers and technical personnel, and exchange of undergraduate and graduate students.

After signing the agreement, two projects will take place immediately; the first at the end of March is a course on Ethics, University and Society, dictated by Juan Morales.

The other course will be in charge of Rossana V. De Souza E Silva, who is an official who signed the agreement with Francisco Salgado, Rector of the University of Azuay.

“Rossana De Souza E Silva is going to teach a course for the university community of the University of Azuay and the course is called ´The system of higher education in Brazil´ which aims to explain to the university community of the UDA how the system works in Brazil, ”Morales explained.

“One of the great objectives in universities is the internationalization of higher education and the internationalization of the professions; and that occurs through mobility ”, concluded the UDA professor.
