Agreement between the School of Architecture and Graphisoft
At the Hungarian Embassy in Quito, an inter-institutional agreement was signed between the University of Azuay and Graphisoft, which will allow undergraduate and graduate students to access a professional version of ARCHICAD.
Graphisoft is a Hungarian company that has developed digital tools that allow the modeling of construction information, being ARCHICAD the first sowtfare created for architects.
Santiago Vanegas, Coordinator of the School of Architecture, states that for ten years this school has incorporated ARCHICAD as an option in its curriculum, as an option for the digital presentation of projects.
Now, the agreement facilitates the accessibility to the tool with licensing and official certification for the value of two thousand dollars.
Vanegas concluded that it is within the plans of the Academic Board of the career to establish more agreements with new digital tools, always seeking to expand the range of options available to students.
