Agreement with the National Electoral Council

On March 10 at the Hernán Malo Library, the inter-institutional cooperation agreement was signed between the Azuay provincial delegation of the National Electoral Council (CNE) and the University of Azuay.

The agreement aims to strengthen the processes of democratic and citizen participation of students who are studying the Higher Education level, in order for them to participate as members of the voting receiving boards in the electoral processes at the national level.

In this way, students will be able to access the recognition of valid hours as hours of connection with society, required in all Higher Education institutions, prior to obtaining professional degrees.

The event was attended by the provincial delegate of the CNE in Azuay, Teodoro Maldonado, who stressed that it is the first university in the province with which this agreement is signed.

Francisco Salgado, Rector of the UDA, pointed out that the University is always open to support activities for the benefit of the country and democracy.
