Conference on "Pedagogy, Culture and Politics"

On April 25, in the Philosophy auditorium of the University of Azuay, the conference "Pedagogy, Culture and Politics" was held, given by the teacher and former deputy minister of Education of Argentina, Alejandra Birgin.

The objective of this conference was to talk about education from an area of ​​transmission of culture and how it affects the appropriation of reality.

"I want to give another view of what education really is and what culture gives to it," Birgin said, adding:

"I want young people to give it another meaning (to education) and to find a good motivation in what they do".

The conference was addressed to students of Basic and Special Education.

On the board were the Dean of the Faculty of Philosophy, Ramiro Laso, the Deputy Dean Diana Rodas; the Coordinator of Basic and Special Education, Bernarda Quintanilla and the lecturer.
