Competition on economic issues in Administration

On Monday, December 4, the School of Economics held the “ECO CHALLENGER”, within the framework of the celebrations for the anniversary of the 47 years of the Faculty of Administration Sciences.

The event, which took place from 7: 00 to 9: 00 am in the Multiple Use Room of the Faculty, had the participation of third, fifth and ninth cycle students of the Economics degree, under the coordination of José Vera , teacher of the Faculty.

The "ECO CHALLENGER" is a student knowledge contest on topics of microeconomics, macroeconomics and econometrics, created by the University of San Francisco to strengthen knowledge and make learning more dynamic, with the aim of holding a nationwide contest on 18 January 2018 where seven universities will compete.

This is the first year that the Universidad del Azuay has been a member of this club thanks to the efforts of students from the School of Economics, led by the president and vice president of the ASO, Mateo Galarza and Gabriela Álvarez.

"It is born from the students themselves to get into that competitive level, they are preparing to compete at the national level, neither the academic board, nor the teachers have put them in this situation, they feel very prepared to compete at an academic level", commented Silvia Mejía, teacher of the Faculty.

The students Ramón Valdivieso, Juan Camacho, Erika Vélez and Camilo Freire were the winners and will represent the UDA at a national level.
