Colloquium at the Biennale, in art and world culture
On March 6 at the Municipal Museum of Modern Art of the city, the University of Azuay together with its Publishing House presented the magazine Colloquio No. 71, an edition dedicated to the XVI Biennial of Cuenca.
The event was attended by authorities and members of the municipality of Cuenca, authorities, teachers and students from our university community.
“Coloquio”, a magazine of Arts, Sciences and Humanities, is a multidisciplinary publication, conceived to disseminate reflections and views on various topics of public interest from within our university community, and at the same time as a space for dialogue with literature, the art and culture.
At this meeting, Francisco Salgado, rector of the University of Azuay, addressed the public, pointing out the importance of sharing this space to celebrate the new issue of Colloquio magazine, highlighting that the most important cultural event in the country has reached the level of the world. and on this occasion the work will be evidenced in this beautiful and important edition, a joint work designed and carried out for the community.
The official launch of the work was carried out by Cristóbal Zapata, director of the magazine presented today, who pointed out that Colloquio reaches the fifth issue of its new era full of joy, indicating that the document prepared with the generous cooperation of the Cuenca Biennial Municipal Foundation , constitutes a contribution to understanding both the future, the potential and the cultural meaning of the institution.
Finally Hernán Pacurucu, executive director of the Cuenca Biennial, addressed a few words to the public, expressing his gratitude and joy for the launch of the magazine presented.
