Talk about polymers and geosynthetics in Civil Engineering

On June 22, the School of Civil Engineering held the talk "Polymers, geosynthetics and their applications", organized by UDA professor of Geology Santiago Cevallos and engineer Manolo Pérez.

The exhibitor was Edgardo Cornejo, representative of the American company AGRU.

This company has designed an Integrated Drainage System (IDS) that provides a powerful closure and containment solution thanks to a combination of multiple layers of geosynthetic drainage.

"In the field of Geology, the topic of geosynthetics as uses in drains and solutions for slope erosion is presented. The opportunity was presented to invite this exhibitor who is in the United States and who was contacted to discuss the latest advances in this field ”, said Cevallos and added:

"It is interesting to analyze the strict production standards they have and the innumerable number of applications that exist."
