Certificates of the process "Tools for the Strengthening of Transparency in the GAD"

The 5 of January the Council of Citizen Participation and Social Control made the delivery of credentials and certificates to 13 students of the Law School of the University of Azuay, for having approved the training process called "Tools for the Strengthening of Transparency in the Decentralized Autonomous Governments "

The Law School of the University of Azuay, when involved in this type of projects, seeks to contribute to the improvement of transparency indexes in public institutions, as well as providing spaces for citizens to know their rights and demand compliance.

The Dean of the Faculty of Legal Sciences, José Chalco Quezada, commented that corruption is one of the crimes that causes the greatest harm to humanity and its societies.

The students who will be the brigadistas of this process are: María Luisa Sindón Cáceres, Juan José Palacios Silva, Diario Pesantez Álvarez, Mateo González González, Esteban Jerves Burbano, Fernando Astudillo Torres, Camila Salamea Pesantez, Mari Carmen Tapia Ramón, Valeria Orellana Vinueza, Carolina Zacasari Haro, Natasha Peñaherrera Gallardo, Melisa Rocío Santos Campoverde, and Juan Sebastián Aguilar Sánchez.

Ana María Bustos, Coordinator of the School of Law, explained that these training processes are essential for a comprehensive education of students, as they acquire knowledge in branches that are not always studied regularly in the career, and at the same time relate to real problems that arise in society.

"These are processes that serve to eradicate in some way everything that has to do with the manifestations of corruption, not only at an academic level, but also at a business and professional level," concluded José Chalco, Dean of the Faculty of Legal Sciences.
