Ceremony for the indexing of the UDA AKADEM magazine

On December 2, a tribute ceremony for the indexing of the magazine "UDA AKADEM" was presented in the auditorium of the University of Azuay within the framework of the 50 years of creation of the Faculty of Administration Sciences.

The event was attended by Francisco Salgado, Rector of the University of Azuay; Martha Cobos, Academic Vice Chancellor; Jacinto Guillén, Vice-rector for Research; Oswaldo Merchán, Dean of the Faculty of Administration Sciences; Ximena Moscoso, Deputy Dean, and Marco Ríos, editor of the magazine.

The event began with a brief review of the publication "UDA AKADEM Pensamiento Empresarial", which reflects on the great challenges that currently arise in business management.

The main objective of the magazine is to be a reference point for people who are interested in business and economic issues. 

"Today we are here to make a tribute of gratitude and congratulations to those who made it possible for us to reach the height of the world, because that is our educational model, we have to train young people at the height of the world," said the Rector.

Later, the Dean commented that "this act is fundamental for the Faculty of Administration Sciences since we have achieved the desired international certification of scientific publications."

Last October 29 was the date on which the journal was accepted into the regional database of online information for scientific journals in Latin America.

Merchán ended his speech by thanking the researchers who made the publication possible.

The latest issue of the journal includes 13 articles from the Universidad del Azuay; three from the Technical University of Ecuador and another three from the University of Cuenca; two from the Chimborazo Polytechnic School; an article from the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Ecuador; another from the Pontifical University of Colombia; another State University of Bolívar; another from the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru, and another from the Central University.  

Marcos Ríos, editor of UDA AKADEM, finally recalled that the idea for this publication began in 2014:

"Six and a half years have passed since the first meeting and today we are here, thanking all the people who took part in where each one did a bit to achieve this goal."
