Race 5.0 K, the UDA puts to run to Cuenca

On November 19, the University of Azuay will run the City of Cuenca with its Athletic Festival "Carrera 5.0 K, Ruta de los Ríos", which will start from the campus of the Faculty of Medicine of the UDA to the central campus of University.
The 5.0 K Race is part of the commemoration of the anniversary of the 50 years of the founding of the University. In addition, another motivation to create the event was to rescue the natural resources that are around the university campus such as the banks of the rivers, for that reason it was denominated "River Route".
The event will have several categories for the race: youth, senior, UDA officials, students of the UDA and eternal youth; In the same way, the event will have an inclusive essence with the special abilities category, all with the desire to create an enjoyable event and at the disposal of the whole community.
The cost will be of 10 dollars and for students of the University of Azuay of 7 dollars. Participant face will have a chip, a competition shirt, medal and snack.
The first three places in each category will be rewarded with economic incentives ranging from $ 150 dollars to first place, $ 100 to second place and $ 50 to third place. The absolute winners of the race - both male and female - will have a prize of $ 500 dollars plus a trophy and the corresponding medal for participating.
In addition, ten full scholarships will be raffled among the UDA students who register and run in the race, thus adding more than $ 20.000 dollars in prizes.
At the end of the race will give way to a music festival that will feature the presence of special guests and an innovation fair where student work may be presented to the community, there will also be exhibition of sports elements by the sponsors .
The Exercise Ecuador team from the Ministry of Sports will also be present, helping to motivate athletes and during the warm-up and stretching.
Among the sponsors are, among others, Banco del Austro, Dinners Club, TexLab, Vivant, UDAFE and ADEUDA.
