Welcome to the delegations of different universities that are part of the MACCARD project

On January 8, the University of Azuay welcomed the delegations of the different universities that are part of the ERASMUS PLUS project, Master's Degree in Climate Change, Agriculture and Sustainable Development (MACCARD), an event that is part of the fulfillment of the objectives of sustainable development, mainly objectives 4: Quality Education and 17: Alliances to achieve the objectives. 

The event was attended by authorities, rectors, vice-chancellors, deans, project coordinators, professors, postgraduate directors and professors from the different universities that are part of it and their delegations. 

Francisco Salgado, rector of the University of Azuay, addressed a few words to the public, mentioning that thanks to this project, hearts have been united and, through this, minds and hands have been united to think, feel and create such an important network that has to do with climate change. in relation to food production and agriculture, a vital factor for the future of the region and humanity. 

On the other hand, the closing program of the project on these days was led by Luciano Gutiérrez, academic director of MACCARD. 

Likewise, Francisco Serrano, coordinator of the MACCARD project at the University of Granada, highlighted the importance of academic cooperation in the field of sustainable development and the environment.
