Well-being on wheels

On July 2, the talk “Bicycle and well-being” took place in which Isabel Idrovo, founder of Mujeres en Bici, and Joaquín López, professor at the Faculty of Science and Technology and researcher of the #alauenbici project, participated.

López pointed out in his presentation that today there are more than 800 million bicycles circulating around the world.

Despite this, the teacher acknowledged that there are still people who are afraid to go out on the streets by bicycle, due to the aggressiveness of car drivers and the old notion that on the bicycle the body is the body.

Therefore, López considered that "bicycle lanes are the best publicity to promote the use of the bike."

To conclude, the professor pointed out that “the return to cycling is not an isolated phenomenon in response to the saturation of the streets, but rather an internal transformation.”
