Students and professors of the UDA attend a course at the Tecnológico de Monterrey

Six students from the Mechanical and Automotive Engineering career together with Professor Daniel Cordero and the Dean of the Faculty of Science and Technology, Andrés López, traveled to Monterrey, Mexico, to participate in the international course on energy efficiency in vehicles that dictated the Technological University of Monterrey.

The process started on the 16 in June and combined distance classes with a week on the university campus.

"The course is not yet over, we are with some practical work to present, but I always believe it is an excellent opportunity to leave the country and see what is being done elsewhere, what things we are doing well here and what we should improve," he said. Daniel Lamb.

The course was taught by 10 international professors, among whom were Andrés López, Dean of CCTT, who taught a module on "thermodynamic cycles of motors and power", and Daniel Cordero, who spoke about energy consumption in vehicles, vehicle dynamics, which are the forces that oppose the advance of the vehicle and the new technologies in hybrid and electric vehicles.

The students of eighth, tenth cycle and graduates of the Mechanical and Automotive Engineering career who had the opportunity to attend were David Tapia, Milton Cueva, Esteban Carpio, David Tapia, Paul Aimar, Christian Sarmiento and Mateo Chalco.

"The main objective of this class of courses is to create a research network in Latin America in this area of ​​vehicle energy consumption, and create a first database on fuel consumption in some cities in Latin America, ie , general a friendly network of institutions to look for large projects at an international level ", concluded Daniel Cordero.
