Enrollment for the new university term opened

The registration process for the University of Azuay began on Saturday, May 1 and will last until the quotas are finished.

Martha Cobos, Academic Vice Chancellor, tells us that admission is always a very important process for the institution.

"The first thing that we highlight is the guarantee of the image of the University, we seek that the boys fall in love with their careers but, above all, they know that they come to a solid institution and with all the guarantees for their training."

Although the registrations on the website have been open from May 1, months before the MiUDA department began the process of disseminating the careers through meetings with high school graduates from different schools to explain the process and the academic offer of the University in their various careers.

Campus visits were also carried out in small groups of high school graduates taking care of biosecurity measures.

The registration has several steps that include, firstly, the filling of a form with personal data and the registration payment, once the payment has been made, an institutional email is generated for the applicants, with which the applicant can access the platform Coursera to follow interesting career preparation courses, which have been previously chosen by the Academic Boards.

The Coursera platform, world-renowned, is a tool that provides access to knowledge and preparation in specific areas with a modality of self-education; However, the boys who do not have this experience of self-training, and do not manage to finish the course, may request the accompaniment of a university teacher to finish it.

As of June, the applicants will be summoned to an interview with the various academic boards. The objective of this interview is to learn more about the applicant, to inform him more about the career and in turn to know if he is really interested in it.

Once the interview is completed, the following process will take place between July 19 and August 6 through various academic meetings within the framework of the admission process.

It is important to note that in order to obtain a place at the University, all the requirements indicated above must be met:

1.The entrance to the platform of the grades of first, second and third of baccalaureate (for the latter, the grade corresponding to the first semester or the degree certificate for those who already have it will be entered).

2.Payment of registration

3. Compliance and approval of the process designed for each career.

In those with a very high number of registered participants, an exam will also be taken.

On the other hand, Patricia Ortega, director of Technological Careers, tells us that the University has an important and diverse offer for this type of dual modality careers.

This implies that students will have the opportunity to do internships in real settings in the workplace, in companies and institutions with designated tutors for each area.

In the Higher Technology in Sales and Warehouse and Distribution Logistics careers, the admission process involves companies, who must select the applicants who will then actively participate in the internships. This implies the presentation of a resume that will be elaborated with the due accompaniment of the teachers of the career.
