On December 6, the workshop “20 ways to generate your own financing for your cultural project” was held, taught by Dr. Carlota Álvarez Basso; This initiative was promoted by the Spanish Embassy and had the support of the University of Azuay and the Catholic University of Cuenca.

Through cultural management, the rescue of tangible and intangible heritage and cultural integration are promoted. The cultural manager from his specific place, in a community or in an institution, helps facilitate the presence of a certain part of the culture and provides the values ​​found in it, the vision of the world and much more.

The culture manager encourages and facilitates the discussion, memory and dissemination of historical moments, in addition to contributing to and influencing the development of cultural society, its appreciation and from there promoting a better quality of life.

In times of crisis, culture and the cultural manager become a key element for the development of sensitivity, peace, mutual care and hope. 

At the event, our rector, Francisco Salgado, pointed out the contemporary relevance of the issue of peace, emphasizing that the key to its achievement lies in cultural management. In his words, he highlighted the importance of cultivating an environment conducive to mutual understanding, encouraging intercultural dialogue and promoting initiatives that strengthen ties of unity.

The presentation of the speaker was given by Dr. Katya Cazar who mentioned that the workshop that will be given and the presence of Carlota is a symbolic and practical contribution to promote management and look through experience at the praiseworthy nature of cultural work.
