Inventory and manufacturing modules: presentation of the UDA-ERP collection for SMEs

On October 19, the University of Azuay together with its Publishing House held the Presentation of the UDA-ERP Collection for SMEs, Inventory and Manufacturing Modules, an event that is framed within the fulfillment of the Sustainable Development Goals, in specific objective 4: Quality Education.

This collection was born from the collaboration of four prominent professionals, such as Catalina Astudillo Rodríguez, Esteban Crespo Martínez, Lenin Erazo Garzón and Juan Manuel Maldonado, and represents an innovative and accessible solution for MSMEs, entrepreneurs and artisans in the region, who often face economic limitations in the initial stages of their businesses.

The solution is based on Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems to simplify information management and replace paperwork efficiently.

The collection consists of three volumes related to the UDA-ERP software development project for SMEs. The first volume addresses manufacturing principles and software application, highlighting the relevance of ERP systems in business management. The second volume focuses on software analysis, design and testing, offering a practical case and a comprehensive testing strategy. The third volume focuses on security testing in ERP systems, highlighting the importance of cybersecurity and presenting techniques and countermeasures to protect these critical systems.

In the presentation, Patricia Ortega, coordinator of the School of Computer Science Engineering and commentator on the work, highlighted the significant contribution of the University to sustainability and equity in a world in constant transformation.
