Jubilee in the auditorium of the University of Azuay
On October 3, the signing of the Framework Agreement to facilitate preventive health care and training for retirees and/or older adults was carried out, an instrument signed between the Provincial Directorate of the Ecuadorian Institute of Social Security IESS and the University of Azuay.
This event is framed within the fulfillment of the sustainable development objectives; Authorities and professors from our university community, members of the IESS and the Retiree Commission of the senior care center attended.
The main objective of the agreement that was signed is to develop specific preventive medical care, training and continuing education programs for self-management in chronic diseases, so that retirees can access them, thus improving their care and quality of life.
At this meeting, our rector, Francisco Salgado, addressed a few words to the public and reflected on the meaning of the word retirement associated with joy and enjoyment of life. He thus invited those present to enjoy and take advantage of this stage of life.
Once the formal ceremony was over, the Retiree Commission of the senior care center presented a parade with the name “RetroHit” of the golden years in which all the members belonging to said institution participated with great enthusiasm.
Thus, moments of great joy were experienced with the festive parade and the music that excited all attendees.
