Ecuador on the Green Hydrogen map, towards an energy transition and decarbonization.
On September 21, the University of Azuay together with the Faculty of Science and Technology and the Ecuadorian-German Chamber of Industries and Commerce (AHK) joined together to carry out the Business Meeting "Investment opportunities in the green hydrogen industry in the Austro of Ecuador in Cooperation with Germany"; The Department of Planning, IERSE and International Relations of the University were also present.
This event, in harmony with the Sustainable Development Goals, marked a milestone in the search for lasting energy solutions.
Green Hydrogen has established itself as the main energy vector globally to decarbonize sectors such as transportation and industries. The AHK-Ecuador, in collaboration with the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany, has founded the Hydrogen Association of Ecuador (H2Ecuador). Its objective is to promote a national agreement that boosts the green hydrogen industry in Ecuador and attracts investments from Germany.
In this important event, the University of Azuay formalized its membership in the Ecuadorian H2 Hydrogen Association. In addition, presentations were made by German companies specialized in the green hydrogen sector. These presentations offered a clear vision of the opportunities and potential that this innovative technology has for Ecuador's sustainable future.
