Fabulous texts: The University of Azuay promotes children's literature

On June 01, the University of Azuay and its Editorial House launched the collection of children's books "Fabulous Texts", in the context of Children's Day. This collection is made up of works by the author Oswaldo Encalada, who has wonderful illustrations by Nicole Rubio, a Graphic Design student. The event was developed under the objective of quality education.

In this important event, we have the presence of the authorities and students of the renowned schools: Ricardo Muñoz Chávez, Fe y Alegría and Asunción. "Fabulous Texts" belongs to the new editorial line Caja Mágica, which aims to promote the love of reading among the youngest public, offering quality texts.

This fantastic collection consists of 8 volumes with 10 captivating fables. Its content pursues the mission of stimulating critical thinking in an entertaining and fun way.

The stories that were published are the following: A luracha and a lurachal, Pumpkin seeds, Noramar's dream, Fabulillas, The only superhero that crawls, To kill the worm, The scarecrow, The vegetable zoo, The Milizho, Cyrano, Plum and the cat with slippers.

Oswaldo Encalada Vásquez expressed his deep gratitude to all the people who offered their support in this process and dedicated a few words full of affection to the young readers. -I want to express my gratitude to all the staff of the Publishing House, the humanist and transcendent vision of university work and the commitment shown to the dissemination of national letters and to the events team for such an impeccable organization. Also, dear children, these stories were written thinking precisely of you and the satisfaction you will have reading them- commented Encalada.

Each of these stories is enriched by beautiful illustrations that enhance visual communication. Nicole Rubio's work deserves special recognition, as she enhances the story told through her art. "I can't believe that I have managed to create 340 illustrations for these children's stories, from illustrations full of laughter due to puns, to others in which I had to face challenging illustrations for myself," Rubio exclaimed.

In conclusion, these events play a fundamental role in the development of children and promote initiatives that cultivate a love of reading. The University of Azuay, with Oswaldo Encalada and his collection of books illustrated by Nicole Rubio, have been a transcendental pillar in this university initiative.
