Kids take center stage! A shower of joy and fun on Children's Day

June 01 is the date designated for Children's Day and the University of Azuay celebrates it with great enthusiasm, because we continue to reaffirm our commitment to the comprehensive development of the little ones and continue training future professionals of excellence.

We are aware of how important it is to have a full and enriching childhood, therefore, the UDA in recent months, with special attention to reading, has been tirelessly dedicated to carrying out projects aimed at the well-being of children.

One of the most outstanding examples that we have had recently is the initiative "Art and books on the street", this project seeks to bring art and literature closer together in some spaces. On the other hand, another initiative that the UDA has had with the little ones is the reading day that took place on April 21, these are just some projects that the University has been developing to start laying the foundations in the training of outstanding professionals in the future.

Diana Lee is the coordinator of the "Art and books on the street" project, and she explained that the objective is to reach neighborhoods and parishes in the city of Cuenca with literature and art materials for the little ones. Likewise, visits to parishes such as Nulti have been planned, where theater presentations and book promotions have been scheduled to encourage the culture of reading through various dynamics.

In relation to the aforementioned Book Day event organized by the CEIAP, it was held at the facilities of the Hernán Malo Library. The objective of the event was to foster a love for reading among children, thus seeking to stimulate their creativity, imagination and ability to concentrate.

Therefore, we can conclude that through these initiatives, the University of Azuay has made an effort to generate a positive impact on the lives of children. That is why Children's Day acquires this well-deserved relevance, because we provide the tools to strengthen fundamental aspects of personal development. Finally, the University of Azuay is very proud to promote the environment we have, since we are talking about a space where children can discover and develop their full potential, just as they have done and continue to do with our initiatives, as well , this in the future will be reflected for the benefit of them and then of society.
