On May 18, at the University of Azuay, the presentation of the book "Regions: The Golden Soldier" by author Jhon Alvarez took place. The event was carried out under the objective of promoting quality education. The work presents us with the story of Niri, a young woman who leaves her region in search of her most longed-for dream.

Jhon Alvarez, a former student of the University of Azuay, officially presented his book, during his speech he expressed his deep gratitude for the space granted and shared his joy upon returning to his beloved house of studies. 

Alvarez described his work as a source of tranquility that allows us to escape from the daily hustle and bustle. Through the captivating stories, we immerse ourselves in a fantasy world that stimulates our imagination and invites us to explore new horizons. With this book, the author seeks to encourage creative development in readers.

-Just as a painter is capable of capturing emotions through strokes and colors, or a musician capable of instilling rhythm and joy in his melodies, I wanted to transmit everything through a text. For me, "The Golden Soldier" represents a journey through a history full of uncertainty, nobility and illusions, taking us through dazzling landscapes, majestic castles and diverse cultures, while offering us encouraging messages- expressed Jhon Alvarez. 

Karla León García, had the honor of participating in the event giving her opinion on the literary work of Alvarez. During his speech, García shared his impressions of the work, describing the story that takes place in a mysterious place, made up of several regions with different characteristics, where Niri puts her skills to the test and pursues her cherished dream of becoming a gold soldier. at the service of his people. Along the way, Niri meets various people who impact her life and her personal transformation becomes evident as she gains new experiences. 

García also left us her reflection in relation to the work, she emphasized the importance of hard work and the ability to turn weaknesses into strengths. In the same way, she highlighted the relevance of loved ones as pillars in the most challenging moments of life and rescued several motivational phrases, for example: "This is the flower that rises with the sun, even on cloudy days." 

Finally, the Academic Vice Chancellor, Genoveva Malo Toral, highlighted the presentation of Jhon Alvarez's book as a reason for celebration for the academy. In turn, she expressed that it is one more example of the work of our representatives at the Publishing House, who every week provide us with knowledge in the form of books. And she ended her speech by referring to the book that invites us to dream differently and transmits an encouraging message, and much more in these times with a troubled society.
