Human Talent Forum and Launch of UDAPRO: a tool to generate job opportunities for our graduates

On April 17 in the general auditorium of the University of Azuay, together with the Department of Well-being, UDAPRO and the Ministry of Labor, the first Human Talent Forum: Innovation and Trends was presented. This event was developed within the objectives of sustainable development, specifically work, economic growth and reduction of inequalities.

Rubén Tamayo, coordinator of the UDAPRO job market of the Mi UDA department, launched the network platform for professionals and the productive sector. This program is the result of 20 years of work.

This new and innovative platform has several very interesting features. -Among the characteristics offered by this tool is to generate job opportunities according to the area of study of our graduates, receive training based on the areas of interest and make graduates visible to local or national companies. On the other hand, the productive sector will have academically qualified profiles or talents and will be able to receive training offers for their collaborators. And they will get a free and timely personnel search service- added Tamayo.

In turn, he stressed that they will seek to meet various objectives that are in the 2030 Agenda, such as the end of poverty, because many people who work do not have a dignified life. Economic growth was another point to highlight, since it must be inclusive and sustained to generate progress and improve living standards, these are just a few points that the project has and they are all focused on the progress of individuals.

Francisco Salgado Arteaga, Rector of the University of Azuay, highlighted the importance of young people getting a decent job to add to the economic development of a country, since it is the fundamental basis for people to fulfill themselves. In the same way, the Rector referred to the union of the University, Companies and the State through this forum.

Also, another key objective is 16, this point refers to peace, justice and strong institutions.

-How do we want young people to find decent work if the country is in turmoil? How do we want them to be fully realized if we don't know what will happen next week? With our attitude we must contribute to a culture of peace. So that the young can flourish within a territory with the necessary conditions. That is why this forum is so important, because it has to do with the possibility of opening new jobs. In the same way, the UDAPRO will be presented, which has been worked with great enthusiasm to accompany our recent graduates- Francisco Salgado Arteaga commented.

In conclusion, the First Human Talent Forum: Innovation and Trends was a success due to the ability to generate proposals and concrete solutions around sustainable development. The launch of UDAPRO is an example of the use of new technologies to promote employment and inclusive economic growth. In addition, the union between the University, Companies and the State is significant because it can make a difference in the lives of people and the development of the country.
