Registrations for the new period began

This Monday, May 4, the registration process began for the September 2020 - February 2021 cycle of the Universidad del Azuay, marked by an exceptional context caused by the coronavirus pandemic.

“We deeply understand the difficult and complex times in which we find ourselves and starting university life in this way is not the simplest decision; the new admission process is characterized by accompanying the student as they enter this stage of their lives, which is transcendental for their future ”, explained María Elena Castro, head of Mi UDA.

Castro added that all admission has the cost of $ 20 and the entire process has been simplified:

"The first phase of admission, which is the general competency exam, has been withdrawn and students are given the opportunity to access free courses within the career area in which they are enrolled, with the possibility of homologating it as an optional subject , just by fulfilling the requirement of being registered ”.

The applicant will also have an interview with a career professor to tell their motivations behind choosing that academic offer.

"We will continue to count on the support of scholarships for those who need it both in the economic, sports, and disability fields and as a reward for their effort to be the best high school graduates from their respective institutions," Castro concluded.

The steps are as follows:

1. Enroll taking into account the qualifications with which the first, second and third year of high school were passed; and, if the applicant has not yet graduated, they must register the grade for the first quarter of the third year of high school.

2. After completing the registration form, a single payment of $ 20,00 is made, which covers the entire admission process; by credit card, bank transfer or deposit.

3. With the code and institutional email account, the applicant has access to a wide variety of free courses thanks to Coursera's agreement with the University of Azuay.

4. Starting in June, the interviews will take place.

5. If the career requires a preparatory or leveling course, it will begin on Monday, August 3, 2020. For admission to the preparatory course, the selection will be made according to the baccalaureate qualifications.

6. Once the preparatory or leveling course is finished, enrollment will begin.
