Call for Non-Refundable Funds from the European Union

On January 24, the call for the Call for Non-Refundable Funds of the European Union was organized, organized by the Department of International Relations of the University of Azuay. The event took place in the Multiple Use Room of the UDA.

The main speaker was the representative of the delegation of the European Union, Carolina López, who released details on how to carry out projects with high non-reimbursable funds in research, political advocacy and social projects.

The talk had an informative objective about two proposals of the thematic programs: European Instrument for Democracy and Human Rights (EIDHR) and Civil Society Organizations and Local Authorities (OSC-AL).

“There are about 6 million that are going to be given to Ecuadorian projects in those areas. We had more than 80 participants from universities, GADs, NGOs, Azuay Prefecture, the Mayor's Office of Cuenca, among others, ”said Cecilia Ugalde, Director of the University's Department of International Relations.

In addition, the procedures and requirements to be able to apply in the different projects that the institutions wish to be part of were informed. The projects will be directed to vulnerable groups, people who work with human rights, water protection projects, among others.
