The book “Our Dead Skin” was presented at the UDA

On January 17, the “Our Dead Skin” book by the Ecuadorian writer Natalia García, a graduate of the School of Social Communication, coordinator of the UDA Clubs and research assistant at our institution took place in the Multiple Use Room .

At the beginning of the event, Rector Francisco Salgado congratulated the author for the work and highlighted the importance of creativity in university life.

Then it was the turn of Verónica Neira, a member of the Publishing House of the UDA, who presented the work and stressed that "the language of the book is so neat that no type of idiom is identified, and, this is something worth applauding" .

To continue, there was a dialogue between Neira and García where he delved into the origins of the work.

“The book house is the recreation of my grandparents' house, where I grew up. This house is full of bright and sad memories, even full of unanswered questions, ”said the author.

Regarding the character of the novel, Lucas, the writer said he has a lot of it, although he clarified: "It's not me, I never wanted it to be me completely because I felt he also had his right to exist."

The work is the product of two years of a master's degree in Creative Writing that the author made in Madrid, before returning to Cuenca and the University where she completed her undergraduate studies.
