CEIAP Costume Program

On January 6, the Center for Integral Stimulation and Psychotherapeutic Support of the University of Azuay (CEIAP) celebrated local traditions with a masquerade in which students and teachers participated.

The objective of the program was to convey to children a sense of belonging towards the culture of our city. The best way to achieve this was to make them partakers of the community festivities.

Ana Lucía Pacurucu, Director of the CEIAP, said: “We believe that from the initial level it is important that children know what is happening in the city, and above all, that they raise awareness about what the school does so that children Students are part of experiences and that they can share with their parents when they arrive at their homes, ”said Pacurucu.

For the event, all the children had to bring a costume that is related to the theme of the movie they have had to represent their course.

In some cases the costumes were made by the students, others were rented. However, the creativity of all children was taken into account, since they were considered to be very ingenious and able to create their own costume.

Then, a small dramatization on the part of the teachers of the campus was given. In the work a message of companionship and solidarity was sent to the children.

"Teamwork is one of the values that students have been taught, in this case making them part of children's stories," Pacurucu concluded.
