Inauguration of the eighth edition of UDAMUN

The November 13, in the auditorium of the Chamber of Commerce of Cuenca, held the inauguration ceremony of the VIII edition of the UDAMUN, the United Nations model at the University of Azuay, organized by students of the Faculty of Legal Sciences .

To begin the ceremony, Mónica Martínez, Coordinator of the School of International Studies, addressed the delegates and everyone present with a welcoming motivational speech:

"The objective of UDAMUN is to generate new spaces for dialogue in which the word can be used as a tool to reach future agreements."

Later, Andrés Coronel, President of the Academic Committee, stressed that "to be part of UDAMUN is to give voice to the thoughts that resonate in our head."

To end his speech he added: "We are small people, in a small place, doing big things."

Next, a video of the previous models was presented as a reminder and motivation for the current delegates.

The ceremony ended with the official inauguration of the model by the Secretary General, María Piedad Silva.
