Exhibition on the shape of objects

The 25 of June inaugurated the exhibition of the projects of students of the career of Design of Products, in the gallery of the Faculty of Design, Architecture and Art.

Among the exhibited projects are glass vessels that hang from the ceiling to show off jewels, designer leather boots, a chess board ingeniously elaborated by gears, pens and dolls to promote pluriculturalism.

In addition, there was a collection of chairs, an ergonomic designed in the form of a hammock, another designed exclusively for children with games included and another designed with the back and seat somewhat separated, in the form of nucleotides.

"What we want with this sample is that the entire university community can appreciate the work of the students and also understand the diversity of areas in which a product designer can work, you can see ceramics, metal and even new alternatives such as cardboard corrugated ", said Alfredo Cabrera, member of the Academic Board of the race, and added:

"One consideration is that students produce jobs that can help in their future as entrepreneurs, under the monitoring parameters, which is why they have calculated the costs of their work."

One of the projects exhibited is the "Wawa Indi" dolls, figures creatively designed with indigenous clothing, elaborated by the student Nicole Pardo, who told us that the objective is "to spread the pluriculturality of the Amazonian region of Ecuador, through the art toy as a contemporary aesthetic, in such a way that they represent the current experiences of the country ".

Professor Cabrera commented that there are students who are already marketing their products even before graduating from the race, one of the objectives of this type of exhibitions.
