Leadership and innovation in women's management practices

The 20 May was the signing of the agreement between the University of Azuay and the WOAAPONI foundation in the Board Room of the University of Azuay, which seeks to promote the presence of women in the instances of corporate governance, entrepreneurship and executive roles in companies and institutions.

Martha Cobos, Academic Vice-Rector and organizer of the project, stated that it is important that the project not only reach women, since for a true change to take place it is vital to train all members within society.

The training program included in this agreement will seek at all times to respond to the various concerns presented by women throughout the learning period.

Module one of the training will deal with the creation of strategies in business; the next one proposes to generate self-knowledge, self-management and self-care; finally, the last module will provide observation, integration, interpretation and business action processes.

The workshop includes registration and work materials, as well as accommodation and food during the three days of each period, in total nine days of classroom.

"The schemes that figure in society for so long are often very difficult to change. In individuals as older adults it may be a little more complex to get trained, because they still maintain old beliefs, and maybe they assimilate management differently. However, its contribution is necessary to innovate the feminine role in our environment ", concluded Cobos.
