Launch of the book "The return to the literary life of Eleuterio Aria"

On Wednesday 8 of May to the 19h00 in the Museum of the Concepts was presented the book "The return to the literary life of Eleuterio Aria" by the author Joaquín Moreno Aguilar, with the support of the Universidad del Azuay.

In the first volume of this book, published in the 2003, the objective was to share some resources to write in a humorous way through Eleuterio Aria, a fictional character. This personage wrote paraliterary works, that is, ridiculous with literary pretensions.

In this return to the literary life continues with the paraliterature, then in an attempt to dodge the terrible temporality that usually have the works of humor, the author used immortal characters such as Penelope, Don Quixote, Elena de Troya, Romeo and Juliet.

The Rector of the University of Azuay, Francisco Salgado, welcomed the event and congratulated the author of the book highlighting the living flame of his creativity:

"Joaquín Moreno continues to be a person full of examples that motivated us as a university community to move forward in this wonderful task of culture, in this case of literature."

The Rector added that the event was held at the Museum of Concepts as an act of solidarity and deep recognition of this emblematic museum of the city; He also expressed his support for Mónica Muñoz, Director of the entity.

Oswaldo Encalada, commentator of the work, called the new book "The gift of laughter"; He also explained anecdotes of the work, using techniques of political and social humor:

"In this novel a lot of people are treated, sometimes it seems like an attack, sometimes it seems a continuation, parody, more credible clarification, sometimes homage, but all within Cuenca language", Oswaldo Encalada.

The author of the book, who was Dean of the Faculty of Philosophy and Vice Chancellor of the University, formalized the official launch of his work thanking the UDA for this publication of this work and highlighted the following:

"This novel had a literary process, that is, some corrections prior to the publication where I distributed copies with trusted people to get their sincere opinions, because I came to the conclusion that if I was going to do a publication in the Universidad del Azuay the I had to do well. "

In addition, Moreno added: "I thank the Museum of Conceptas very kindly, because I think it is time that we all come together so that this museum does not close, it would be the utmost to waste years of effort of those who have been directors of this museum, who they have sacrificed and deserve that these events continue to take place here. "
