The University of Azuay received some 5.000 students at the Open House

On May 2 and 7, the Open House was held, attended by some 5.000 high school students from 50 different schools in the city.

This event, organized every year by the Department of University Welfare MiUDA, aims to provide a space for sixth-graders from different schools in the city to familiarize them with the 29 career options offered by the UDA. 

Priscila Calderón, events coordinator, said that on this occasion a new career is offered at the Faculty of Science and Technology: Environmental Engineering.

Before starting the tour of the facilities, the aspirants met in the General Auditorium of the university, where they were given a brief introduction of what is the University of Azuay, the academic offer, programs, authorities, facilities and, On this occasion, the new library was presented to them.

The attendees, guided by the students of the School of Tourism, toured the university campus in which 29 stands were distributed corresponding to the 29 careers offered by the university. 

Teachers and students of the different schools demonstrated to the aspirants what is learned during the race, the professional profile, the occupational field, the work opportunities and the curriculum.

The route lasted an approximate of 2 hours and a half per group.

With the Open House begins the process of admission for new students which will be valid until the July 3, date on which the registration ends.
