Second workshop "Sharing among teachers"

The 28 and 29 in January held the second workshop "Sharing between Teachers", organized by the Academic Vice-Rector, in which UDA professors shared their experiences in different areas of work with their colleagues.

"These spaces serve to get to know each other among the professors of the University and generate new projects among all," said Martha Cobos, Academic Vice-Rector of the UDA.

The first speaker was Dr. Juan Carlos Salamea, who referred to the experience of the Academic League of Trauma and Emergencies.

"A league is a group of students with a common goal, which in this case is Trauma but can be Engineering or Computing; the important thing is that the students are grouped in a scenario that they call attention to, organize and take forward their projects, guided by teachers who become mentors or tutors ".

The second speaker of the first day was Daniela Ballari, professor and researcher of the University, who analyzed resources to improve the study skills of the students.

"The skills that help the student improve both in the classroom and at a professional level can be time management, efficient group work, effective communication, argumentation skills, comprehensive reading, exam preparation and resolution, management of anxiety, "the speaker enumerated.

The second day began with a video of the Chilean psychologist and lecturer Pilar Sordo about the guilt and the fatality that does not leave us, as human beings, to be well without being afraid and learning without pain.

"We must change the paradigm and feel good doing what we do as teachers," said Martha Cobos, adding that students should not study only because of fear of the teacher or exclusively because of the qualification.

Then, Magalí Arteaga, Director of the Language Unit, spoke about the use of new technologies in learning English.

"All English exams are digitized and we must continue on that same line," said Arteaga.

Finally, the engineer Paola Merchán spoke, responsible for the library, and recalled the databases and digital libraries that the University has and its access.

The Rector of the UDA, Francisco Salgado, closed the meeting celebrating the participation of teachers in these spaces formulated "to see how we can improve our daily work, in tune with the time we live."
