Conference on neuropsychology at the UDA

Conference on neuropsychology at the UDA

The 3 and 4 days of November, in the auditorium of the Postgraduate Department, gave a talk on Neuropsychology dictated by Montserrat Armele, a Paraguayan expert in neuropsychology. The event was organized by the teacher Alexandra Bueno.

In the first module spoke about the contributions of Neuropsychology to Educational Psychology; in the second, the diagnosis and approach of Neuropsychology in children with learning problems was discussed.

"Everything has turned out very well, the audience, although a little shy, has responded wonderfully. I am happy to know Cuenca, it is a beautiful city, I will return with my family and to work together with this University in the research, "said Armele.

"We want the students to leave their concerns on this issue, it is important the approach that the doctor has taken and know how things are doing in other parts of the world," said Mónica Corral, Coordinator of Educational Psychology and Therapeutic Educational Psychology from the University of Azuay.

For the UDA professor, it is important, as professionals, to detect that a child has different problems and abilities to learn, and how that potential can be developed.

Andrea Pesántez, a third year student of Educational Psychology, said that the talk has solved doubts she had about Neuropsychology and indicated that she expects teachers to continue organizing events that summon students to leave the university routine to receive another type of classes.
