Delivery of certificates to women of the Avanzar Foundation

The 10 day in October, in the Multiple Use Room of the Faculty of Management Sciences, the delivery of certificates to 14 women belonging to the Avanzar Foundation, which approved the project of linking "School workshop in management of industrial machines for making and basic pattern making ".

The linking project was generated by the School of Business Administration in order to train the women of the Avanzar Foundation to look for a stable job.

The initiative, which began in March, had the collaboration of teachers and students not only in Administration but also from the Faculty of Design, Architecture and Art, and the Faculty of Philosophy.

For the delivery of the diplomas, the presence of Oswaldo Merchán, Dean of Administration Sciences; Ximena Moscoso, Assistant Dean; Narcisa Ullauri, Director of the Liaison Department; Miriam Briones, Director of the Continuing Education Department; María José González, Coordinator of the School of Business Administration; Marcela Castillos, Director of the Avanzar Foundation; Estefanía Cevallos, Project Director and Francisco Álvarez, Liaison Coordinator of the Faculty.    

The event began in a few words from the different authorities to the 14 graduates, to then give way to the delivery of the certificates to each one of the participants; to culminate a video was presented with different images of the students receiving classes throughout the course.

"I am very grateful for what the University is for their support, I hope to continue working with the institution because I still have many plans. This project meant a lot to me, especially because I know how difficult it can be for a woman who should support her children alone, to have an appropriate education and a decent job, "said Marcela Castillos, Director of the Avanzar Foundation.
