New publications on graphic design of the Casa Editora UDA

On Tuesday 2 in October the launch of the books of former graduates of the Graphic Design career in the Multiple Use Room was carried out, as a way to rescue final theses that now have the opportunity to become books projected to the public, for that are consumed and not remain filed.

The books were released in digital format, and have gone through a rigorous editorial process, such as peer review and style.

"They are books that invite reflection, teach us, delight us and surprise us, they are young, fresh, full of expression and meaning", were the opening words of Genoveva Malo, Dean of the Faculty.

The books are the following:

Binnacle, by Diego Ochoa, a compilation of 30 designers, between professionals and amateurs, that aims to recover the local illustration.

ELE see, what ALHAJA, by Daniel Ordóñez, a compilation of works of lettering and popular illustration, demonstrating the spontaneity of popular culture through manual graphic design.

KNOT, Basic illustration manual, by Pedro Sevilla, a compilation of the various techniques and styles most used in the field of current illustration.

Mounstrodion, by Alexandra Álvarez, a book aimed at infants with stories and illustrations.

Rayando (al) 2 book, by María Emilia Staël, a book that puts a standard creative process for registering professionals and design students at every stage of work.

Mythical, by Cristian Alvarracín, a work that collects legends from Ecuador, made as a tribute to the mythological beings that still inhabit these lands.

Graphic strategies to improve the food shopping experience, by Paula Rodas, an analysis of the main aspects in which a graphic designer can contribute to a food company to be the first option in the client's mind, using design as a decision interface.

Toa Tripaldi, a university professor and project director, comments that this idea will continue to be carried out, since there are several students who have asked for their works to be published: "We hope that people will use the books, that they will be downloaded, because, a publication without being read is not worth it, then, what we present is of high quality ".
