Inauguration of graduate programs

On September 27, the Universidad del Azuay inaugurated the postgraduate programs that will be offered this year: Master's Degree in Human Resource Management; Master's degree in Bioethics; Master's Degree in Tourism with mention of territory; Master in Maintenance Management, and Master in Socio-environmental Studies with mention in climate change, sustainability and development.

The event began with the intervention of Professor Monica Rhodes, who welcomed the new students: "They have a great commitment that the skills they acquire are for the service of a society that awaits them."

Then Ramiro Laso, Dean of the Faculty of Philosophy, focused his speech on the fact that the human being must serve the planet through his studies, mentioning that "we must never forget why we are here".

For Josué Gómez, a graduate student who participates in the Master of Bioethics, the first that is dictated in the country, his duty to society from this master's degree is to raise awareness among the public "through an ethical ideology to help reflect on the professional action ".

As a final point the regulations were made known to the students. Unlike the previous year, now each subject adopts academic hours instead of credits; there will be no possibility to leave pending some module to study it later; A subject will be approved with an 70% on 100.

In addition, after completing the master's degrees, these allow students to choose a PhD course at a national or international level.
