Defense of postgraduate degree works

The 12 and 13 of July was the defense of the scientific articles made by the students of the Master's programs of Environmental Management and Maintenance Management, as an alternative to their final thesis or degree work.

In March of this year the project entitled "Degree Program" was approved by the Graduate Council, aimed at students of the different master's degree programs who are in the capacity of graduates or who have not complied with the presentation of their degree work.

The objective of the project was to encourage undergraduate students so that they can raise or rethink their degree work from a complex examination, in order that this work is developed with support in the preparation, development and defense phases.

Juan Carlos Pauta, who coordinated the entire process, indicated that although the complex examination has been implemented for several years at the University, "this is the first time that the figure of a scientific article has been developed, developed with a type of Agile Methodology ( SCRUM) that consists in the fulfillment of goals ".

For Pauta, the most relevant aspect of the whole process was the interest and commitment of the students to be graduates and the accompaniment and training provided by the UDA.

The 14 master of Environmental Management that started the process finished it. Of the 11 Master Managers of Maintenance Management, eight ended and three are in grace period.
