Students of Law of the UDA excel in the CEAACES exam

The Council for the Evaluation, Accreditation and Quality Assurance of Higher Education (CEAACES) evaluated at the national level the careers of Law in the different universities of the country and the University of Azuay, obtained one of the highest scores at national level.

"Assessments are always important to determine the strengths and weaknesses of an institution, a company or a group of students. It is logical, that the tests served us or will serve us in their moment to establish aspects in which we have to work. No matter how successful any evaluation is, we can never say that we have reached the end and that there is nothing else to do, "said the Dean, José Chalco Quezada.

The correspondents of the Universidad del Azuay interviewed Ana María Bustos, Coordinator of the Law School, to learn more about the evaluation of CEAACES.

How was the process that the Faculty and the School lived?

It has been quite complex and extended for a long time.

In the learning environment component, the evaluation required a lot of work from the whole team of the School to obtain the evidences of our indicators, then the on-site visit of the evaluators, everything was a complex and very demanding process.

However, we overcome it with a very satisfactory result.

What was the situation with the component that consisted in the evaluation of the students?

It was also complex but in another dimension, because we needed to get the commitment of the students and also guarantee their preparation in subjects -many of them- that they had studied at the beginning of their career.

For this reason, the achievement achieved by students with the results of the exam is very motivating and rewarding

How do you rate this achievement?

The process leaves us with the satisfaction of knowing that the whole school is working in the right direction.

It allowed us to know and value the work of each and every one of us who are part of it and also allowed us to identify weaknesses with respect to which we are already working to overcome them.
